Frequently Asked Questions
What is OBBA?+
OBBA (Olde Bulldogge Breed Association) is the registry of record for Olde English Bulldogges. We've been registering dogs and litters since 2008 and maintain pedigrees, kennel listings, and the OBBA breed standard.
How is OBBA different from IOEBA, OEBKC, or other registries?+
OBBA, IOEBA, and OEBKC each maintain their own pedigree archives and breeder networks. Many breeders register with more than one. OBBA's modern site at bulldoggeregistry.com offers public dog profile pages, instant online registration, and a structured breeder directory.
How much does it cost to register a dog or litter?+
Single dog registration is $20. Litter registration is $20 per puppy, flat. There are no Silver, Gold, or Platinum tiers — every breeder pays the same. Kennel registration is $24/month or $240/year.
What are puppy papers?+
Temporary registration papers a breeder gives a buyer at the time of sale. They identify the puppy and its parents and let the buyer convert to a permanent OBBA registration once the puppy is in their name. Puppy paper conversion is $20.
How do I convert puppy papers to a permanent registration?+
Visit /convert-puppy-paper, look up the puppy by registration number, fill in the buyer's details, and pay $20. The puppy graduates to a permanent OBBA registration with its own dog page and pedigree.
How do I list my kennel?+
Create an account, complete your profile, and pay the kennel registration fee. Your kennel appears in the public OBBA breeder directory. Listed kennels also commit to the Responsible Breeder Pledge.
Why did the website change?+
OBBA's old WordPress site was rebuilt in 2026 on a modern stack (Next.js + Postgres) so we could publish public pedigree pages, support online registration in real time, and make the breed's archive readable by AI assistants. All your existing OBBA registration numbers stay the same.
